AIIR (Airborne Infection Isolation and Removal)
The AIIR (Airborne Infection Isolation and Removal) from Care Health Biomedical is designed for use during Aerosol Generating Medical Procedures (AGMP) created in a dental setting. It contains and eliminates virtually all aerosolized pathogens from the operatory. Its use, alongside compliant infection control protocols, and isolation standard PPE allows Canadian dentists to safely and responsibly deliver emergency and urgent care during the COVID-19 pandemic versus Health Canada Infection Prevention and Control for COVID-19. Second Interim Guidance for Acute Healthcare Settings.
Our patent pending technology captures and contains aerosolized pathogens using practitioner focused negative pressure airflow, containing them, and drawing them away from the operatory. Prior to release back into the practice, all harmful pathogens are removed from exhaust air by HEPA-filter and UVC irradiation. The capture and elimination of aerosolized pathogens within the AIIR improves operatory cycle times, as increased sterilization burdens, such as wait-times, required in an open operatory during AGMP are not necessary.
Practitioner field of view, and ability to manipulate patient is not affected, and head-unit shielding can be positioned through 360 degrees. Patient anxiety is reduced with no feeling of confinement or restraint, with all condensation and virtually all droplets being drawn away.
Sterilization: Head unit is quickly removed from modular arm and placed in a cradle within the base unit. Once in the base unit, it is sterilized via UVC light in under two-minutes. Modular arms are quickly disassembled for sterilization, by either disinfectant or autoclave.
Frame and modular arms are constructed of durable and non-porous 304 grade stainless steel. Base unit skin is aluminum and FDA WHT U1585-1 medical powder-coat designed and approved for quick sterilization.
The system is maintenance-free, quiet and aesthetically pleasing. It meets CE electrical guidelines and comes with a 3-year parts and service limited warranty.
